Natural scenic area located at Lembang, about 30 km north of Bandung, presents the natural charm that is so awesome. Tangkuban Perahu, is one of the volcano in West Java, precisely in Lembang, about 30 km north of the city of Bandung with a height of 2084 meters above sea level. To get there it takes approximately 30 minutes using a motor vehicle.

Name Tangkuban Perahu very closely with a legend who is very famous Sundanese land, namely Sangkuriang. Tangkuban Perahu mountain which from a distance looked like a boat upside down, supposedly caused by supernatural powers Sangkuriang finish the job that failed in making the boat overnight to marry Dayang Sumbi that none other than his own mother. Because so upset not to complete construction of the boat, finally kicked the boat Sangkuriang unfinished, so the boat face down (face down in the Sundanese language Tangkuban). Diataslah legend who became closely linked in the naming of Tangkuban Perahu mountain.

The mountain last erupted in 1910, has 9 of the crater is still active until now. Number of eruptions which occurred in 1.5 centuries last is causing many craters - Tangkuban Perahu crater on the mountain. These craters are craters Queen, Upas, Domas, New, Jurig, Rhino, Jurian, Demon and Pangguyungan Rhino. Among these craters, Crater Queen is the largest crater, followed by Upas crater that is located adjacent to the crater Queen. Several crater sulfur smell smoke, there is even forbidden to descend the crater, because the smell of toxic smoke.

Accessibility

To go to these attractions, visitors can use a personal vehicle either 2 wheel or 4 wheel or public transportation. The travel time to attractions Sari Ater, namely of the town of Subang with travel time about 40 minutes south of Bandung, while around 50 minutes and from Jakarta via toll Sadang with travel time approximately 3 hours while the hot water attractions with travel time Ciater 15 min.

The condition of the road to this area, both from Subang and Bandung is very good. But keep in mind about the condition of the vehicle, due to the location from Bandung, Subang and going through a tough climb.
